“I am from Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. I’m currently studying Foundation in Engineering and if I successfully complete my foundation studies, I plan to pursue a degree in petroleum engineering. I was a science stream student in high school and I enjoyed learning science and engineering subjects the most. Hence, I chose to enroll in the engineering stream in my foundation year to continue expanding my knowledge in a field I consider very exciting. No doubt, engineering is a challenging field, particularly for women, but the challenges can be very rewarding. Speaking of challenges, I have to admit that coming to a new, foreign place to study has been rather tough too but I’ve managed so far. My role model is Hillary Clinton. To me, she is a very hardworking woman and has a fearless, determined character. Her courageous spirit inspires me.” –Yujin Lee, Foundation in Engineering student
