“To be honest, Curtin Malaysia wasn’t my first choice when I finished my high school studies. A childhood friend of mine enrolled and I decided I would do the same, and it turned out to be a really good decision.
“Flying from Penang to Miri was like entering a whole new world and I’m really glad I came to East Malaysia. I couldn’t get over how green the environment is here. Events on campus such as
Transcendance 6, Curtin Malaysia Open Day and the Club Fair also made the experience special. I joined AIESEC chapter on campus and enjoyed helping the community and improving my leadership skills.
“Studying environmental engineering at Curtin Malaysia has also been enjoyable. I really like the lecturers who are nice and always willing to help, the engineering facilities on campus, and going on field trips.
“Curtin Malaysia is an excellent place to study and I’ll certainly miss it once I’ve graduated.” –Yap Chi Nam, Environmental Engineering student
