Terry Justin Dit
“Hi, I’m Terry Justin Dit, a lecturer in the Department of Media and Communication, Faculty of Humanities and Health Sciences at Curtin Malaysia.
I was born and raised in an environment where every conversation was a tale waiting to unfold, where history wasn’t just confined to textbooks but lived and breathed in the stories, folk tales, and oral histories of my ancestors. Growing up in a culture rich in oral tradition, I found my desire ignited by the tales of the past. Every anecdote, every myth, every tradition held a key to revealing the secrets of our heritage.
Now, as an educator at Curtin Malaysia, I weave these threads of history and culture into my lessons, hoping to hopefully ignite that same spark of curiosity, awe, and passion in my students. For me, education isn’t just about conveying knowledge – it’s about passing down the tradition of storytelling, ensuring that the vibrant mosaic of our past continues to live in the hearts and minds of future generations.” – Terry Justin Dit, Department of Media and Communication lecturer
