“Since March 2020, student learning has been affected significantly due to the closure of the campus in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. All classes switched to online platforms and with this came challenges such as technical difficulties, Internet access problems and different ways of teaching.

“I had a hard time adapting at first as assessments conducted online proved quite challenging, and some of the units used the flipped classroom model which required greater self-discipline and time management skills. Fortunately, our lecturers provided a lot of support to help students cope. They were always approachable and willing to help whenever I had any questions. The utilisation of online tools such as Blackboard Collaborate and Cisco Webex also enhanced my online learning experience. I really miss attending face-to-face classes and hope the pandemic can be brought under control soon so I can return to campus.” –Serene Teo Cin Yun, Tourism and Hospitality and Marketing student
