Ridge Tang Wei Cheong

“Hi, I’m Ridge Tang Wei Cheong, a final-year mechanical engineering student at Curtin Malaysia.

Pursuing a higher education and graduating from a prestigious institution has always been a dream of mine. The thought of such an achievement has been the driving force in my striving for excellence in both academics and personal development.

My time here at Curtin Malaysia has been nothing short of amazing and has exceeded my expectations in many ways. Through involvement in various clubs and activities, I have had the opportunity to meet and work with people from diverse backgrounds and fields. I have been part of the Curtin Chinese Cultural Club, IMeche, IEEE and IEM student chapters, and the Curtin Social Ambassadors.

One of the most profound experiences of my university journey was serving as the organising chairperson for The Great Escape 2022. This event brought together nearly 200 individuals from all walks of life for a 3-day immersion experience at our campus. It was an incredible opportunity to develop my leadership skills, and the impact we made left me feeling empowered and inspired.
