“My journey at Curtin Malaysia started in 2018 when I enrolled to study a Bachelor of Commerce. Coming from the science stream, I was worried if I’d made the right decision, having absolutely no background in commerce, but the excellent course and teaching allayed all those fears. Curtin’s Bachelor of Commerce provides a wonderful, eye-opening learning experience, preparing students to engage and flourish in the real world.
“Curtin Malaysia has well-qualified lecturers who are friendly and approachable, which made it easier for me to gather information not found in the syllabus from them. Many have had extensive industry experience in their fields and readily shared their past working experiences, which also helped.
“The lecturers have really shone during this pandemic, making themselves more accessible to students and responding to student enquiries in record time. Their willingness to adapt for the betterment of students has won my respect and made my learning experience more fulfilling. Moreover, the university’s quick action to safeguard the interests of students in the face of the pandemic, including switching to full online mode within days, was exemplary.
“The other great aspect of my Curtin experience was all the friends I made, which led to many outings and road trips, creating memorable experiences and lifelong friendships. The campus community is very inclusive, with a wide diversity of students and staff who are very open-minded and accepting of others.
“Moving forward, I aspire to become a successful entrepreneur as a digital marketing service provider and look forward to applying all the knowledge and skills I’ve gained at Curtin Malaysia.” –Raymond Khung Kin Hau, Finance and Marketing graduate (Sabah)
