“2020 was been one of the most memorable and challenging years of our lives, and my pre-university experience was no exception. The first challenge was when all my classes were moved online. It was not what I had envisioned for my first experience of university life and was a truly challenging and humbling experience.

“I found every week of online learning getting more and more demanding. It wasn’t easy trying to stay motivated every week at home where all I wanted to do was lay in bed. Nevertheless, I managed the stress of meeting deadlines and completing all the tasks at hand quite well. I became more forgiving towards myself whilst constantly reminding myself that all the effort I put in would ultimately pay off.

“There is still a long road ahead and my university journey has only just begun. I’m excited to move forward, face more challenges, enrich myself with new experiences and explore new opportunities.
