“The last time I wrote about my university experience was in my first year and now I’m writing for the second time in my final year. It goes to show that everything always comes full circle.

“I was not sure what to expect when I left Nigeria to pursue a bachelor’s degree at Curtin Malaysia, but after four years, I can proudly say that it has been one of the best experiences of my life. From meeting people of diverse cultures, to creating friendships that will last a lifetime, I have learned more about myself.

“Curtin Malaysia is very inclusive, with lots of events and activities that bring people of different backgrounds and interests together. These events have helped me adapt to university life and given me things to look forward to outside my studies.

“The one thing that has characterised my university experience is definitely the friendships I have made thus far. A famous quote from C.S. Lewis goes like this, “Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.” I will forever be grateful to Curtin for giving me the opportunity to experience true friendship.” –Oge Emekwue, Electrical & Computer Engineering student
