Nur Athirah Natassha Binti Suherrto
“Hi, I’m Nur Athirah Natassha Binti Suherrto, a final-year chemical engineering student at Curtin Malaysia.
“I have to say I was quite the introvert when I first started at Curtin Malaysia in 2018. I was simply overwhelmed by the new surroundings and the diverse student community. However, now that I’m in my final year and having gone through an incredible student experience thus far, I’m a changed person. I’m glad to say that experience, which included spending nearly two years studying online owing to COVID-19, has broadened my interpersonal skills and eased me out of my comfort zone.
“Back in 2018, I found myself always alone because I had a difficult time making new friends, so I told myself that I couldn’t just stay in my own bubble and miss out on a great student experience. So, I made the effort to make friends in my classes and join clubs as both a member and a committee member.
“Since then, I’ve become quite active, participating in volunteer events and organising events. I discovered that I actually enjoy making new friends and am enjoying university life immensely.” – Nur Athirah Natassha Binti Suherrto, Chemical Engineering student
