“As a new student travelling far away from Zimbabwe for the first time, I wanted to make sure the place I was heading to was peaceful, enjoyable and safe. Curtin Malaysia certainly is such a place.

“The weather in Miri is pleasant. The staff and students here are really friendly and it’s easy to make friends here and be around people who share the same values. I’m into sports and Curtin Malaysia has really good sports and recreation facilities. On top of that, there are student clubs that can help students improve their leadership and communication skills. All these have made the transition to life here relatively easy for me.

“As an engineering student, I enjoy being taught by my highly-qualified and experienced lecturers. What I really like about studying engineering here is that you are given the opportunity to work in teams like in the real world.
