“I started my career at Curtin Malaysia in April 2013 as Library Assistant. A week after I joined, I was invited to join the graduations team as an usher as there was an upcoming graduation ceremony. It was heartening to see all the joyful and happy faces of the graduates and their parents during the ceremony, and from then on, I knew my role at the university was not just to fulfill my job requirements, but also help students realise their dreams.
“In 2018, I transferred to Student Services to be a Loans & Scholarships Coordinator, and there, I get the opportunity to interact more with students on a daily basis. I quite enjoy advising students on available loans and scholarships and helping them with their applications. But there is no greater joy than seeing students you’ve helped or gotten to know graduating and moving on to a bright new future.” –Mohd.
