“My experience in Curtin Malaysia was truly remarkable. As Oprah Winfrey once said, “Your life journey is about learning to become more of who you are and fulfilling the highest, truest expression of yourself as a human being.” That about sums up my experience as a university student.

“I took the Bachelor of Commerce in Management and Public Relations, which was something that really caught my interest and proved very meaningful to me. The course prepared me well for the business world through its very relevant and industry-focused modules and lots of practical learning outside the classroom.

“I was given the opportunity to work with, and learn from, all sorts of people, from volunteers in the Mental Health Association to staff of high-end hotels such as the Pullman Miri Waterfront. The experience really broadened my way of thinking personally and professionally.

“Now, as a Vice President for Marketing and PR in a new start-up company, I find the knowledge and skills I acquired very useful in my work, and I am greatly encouraged to make a difference in my profession.” –Michelle Alisa Khor, Management and Public Relations graduate
