Jhony bin Muhammad Ali

“I chose to study the Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance because of the number of accountancy exam exemptions given by professional bodies like CIMA, MICPA, CPA and ACCA. Studying the course at Curtin Malaysia had always been in my plan since high school as the campus is right in my hometown and offers courses identical to those at the main campus in Perth.

“I’m currently in third year and aside from studying, I’m always challenging myself to do more things, like working together with friends and other students to create events benefitting the community, participating in activities conducted by the Faculty of Business, and running student clubs. I was president of the Accounting Club of Curtin Malaysia for a year, from which I learned many useful soft skills. As I have always been interested in entrepreneurship, I have also started my own online business.

“I have really enjoyed my student life here but it wasn’t always easy getting to where am I today. I’ve had to face a lot of challenges but I’m glad I chose Curtin. I’m really grateful for the opportunity to meet amazing people, make lots of friends, and had great mentors that have helped me along my journey.” –Jhony bin Muhammad AliAccounting & Finance student
