“Curtin Malaysia has really prepared me to be the person I am today. Besides giving me a good education, it has helped me build my communication and networking skills. A university should develop students holistically and Curtin Malaysia does exactly that, always giving students opportunities to get involved in activities and events. There are always opportunities to develop your potential; it’s up to you to take the next step.

“And that’s how my involvement with the Monstar Awards 2020 came about. It was a really exciting journey and I’m honoured to be voted among Malaysia’s top 10 young talents. It really highlighted students’ capabilities as young talents and the impacts they’ve made on the society.

“In my opinion a young talent is someone who can make a difference by taking risks and believing in himself. It might be easier said than done but change starts within oneself. So, being fearless forging ahead should be the goal and we should change the way we look at the world. And remember to always smile as you look upon the world with endless possibilities.” –Jerin Thomas GeorgeChemical Engineering graduate
