Jameson Malang

“I have always wanted to be an educator for as long as I can remember. I have really enjoyed my teaching career so far because I love meeting new people and sharing my knowledge and experience with them. There’s nothing more exciting than preparing young people for their future careers.

“Apart from teaching, my other passions are running marathons and bowling. I was among four staff selected to represent the university at the Standard Chartered KL Marathon in 2014 where we achieved an impressive third place. Running is a great way to keep fit and it’s a great stress reliever too!

“In 2009, a few students and I formed the Curtin Bowling Club to promote the sport of bowling within our campus community. We have organised a number of competitions, attracting bowlers from Sarawak, Brunei and elsewhere. I not only enjoy the game and the camaraderie you get from it, but also find satisfaction in sharing my experience in event organisation and leadership with the students.” –Jameson Malang, Lecturer in Engineering Mathematics
