“I joined Curtin Malaysia in 2021 as a foundation student. Throughout my foundation year, I studied online as we were still under MCO then. It was a tough experience, especially when my lecturer would say, “Bye-bye, see you in the next class!”, which meant I had to figure things out myself after that. Luckily, I managed to pass despite the challenges…phew!

“Thankfully, the campus resurned physical classes for my degree programme in 2022 and that’s when my university life really began. It was so different having your lecturer standing right before you, teaching you face-to-face, explaining things in detail and answering your questions on the spot instead of through emails.

“The lecturers at Curtin Malaysia are super friendly and helpful. Whenever I faced any difficulties in my studies, they would always reply to my emails or provide consultation time. Of course, different lecturers have different styles of teaching, but I can say that about 95% of their classes are fun and interesting.

“As for friends and student life, I really enjoy doing assignments and chilling out with my friends on campus. This not only advances our education, but also strengthens the bond between us.” –James Tai Chun Ket, Electrical and Electronics Engineering student
