“I have lived my whole life in Miri and my journey at Curtin Malaysia began as soon as I completed secondary school. Aside from receiving a scholarship, the main reason I chose Curtin Malaysia was its location in Miri. “Home is where the heart is” – that’s what I say!

“Studying at Curtin Malaysia gives me the privilege of being close to my friends and family. My major is chemical engineering. I am able to gain insights into a wide variety of chemical engineering applications, especially in the oil and gas industry. Furthermore, the course includes an internship component that allows students to experience 3-month industrial training to ensure they’re job-ready when they graduate. I was fortunate to be able to do my internship with Petronas where I could further develop my interest in the oil and gas industry.
