Elizabeth Simon

“Hi, I’m Elizabeth Simon, a Business Administration student at Curtin Malaysia.

Curtin Malaysia wasn’t my first choice for my bachelor’s degree, but I have absolutely no regrets. From the moment I enrolled, I knew I was in the right place. Initially, I faced the challenge of meeting new people due to my social anxiety, especially in a large environment.

However, Curtin Malaysia provided a supportive and vibrant community that helped me step out of my comfort zone. I joined several clubs, including the Orientation Leaders, Curtin Catholic Student Society, Curtin Arts and Dance Club, and Curtin Tari Warisan Club. In 2023, I participated in multiple dance performances with the Curtin Arts and Dance Club, which significantly boosted my confidence. Despite the rigorous practice sessions, I found them enjoyable and a great opportunity to learn new dance styles.

As the Vice President of the Curtin Catholic Student Society in 2024, I learned invaluable leadership skills and how to effectively organize events. The CCSS is more than just a religious club; it’s a supportive community where Christians, especially Catholics, can come together, support each other, and strive for success.

As I approach graduation, I am excited to apply the knowledge and experiences I gained at Curtin Malaysia to my future career. Transitioning into the workforce is my primary goal, but I am also considering postgraduate studies if the right opportunity aligns with my career aspirations. I am immensely grateful to all my lecturers at Curtin Malaysia for their guidance and support.” – Elizabeth Simon, Business Administration student
