“”Should I pursue a university degree or just find work?” That’s what I contemplated for months after completing secondary school in my hometown of Kota Kinabalu. I had very little idea what I wanted to do, but in the end, I chose to follow one of my cousin’s footsteps and pursue a degree at Curtin Malaysia, which is quite close to home.
“I am currently in my final year of the Bachelor of Commerce in Public Relations and Marketing. It’s been both an intellectually challenging and remarkable learning experience and I’ve had many opportunities delve into real-world issues and learn through case studies and independent assessments. I believe such learning beyond the classroom helps me prepare for my future career and adapt to different working environments.
“Another thing I’m very glad about is all the lifelong friends I’ve made here at the University. I got to know a bunch of best pals during my foundation year, and now in my final year, they are still around to support me through all my ups and downs!” –Eileen Wong Ye Xin, Public Relations & Marketing student
