“I hail from KL and am in my third year of my degree. I’m really glad I decided to pursue my degree here as Curtin is a Top 200 ranked university in the world and provides high quality Australian education at all its campuses, including here at Curtin Malaysia.

“I first joined in early 2020. Unfortunately, that was around the beginning of the pandemic, and I only got to experience physical classes for a month before the lockdown. However, after two years of online learning, I think Curtin Malaysia did a great job with its online classes. The lecturers were very attentive and supportive throughout.

“In my time here, I have also learnt about other counties and cultures as there are many international students from various countries. I have learned to grow as a person and come out of my comfort zone. I have taken up leadership roles, such as Vice-President of IEM Curtin Malaysia, Head of IMechE Curtin Malaysia Student Chapter’s IT Department, member of CFIC Design Committee, IEEE Tech Helper, YIMC Mentors and New-to-Curtin Mentors.

“This has allowed me to improve my communication and presentation skills, as well as gain added technical knowledge, self-esteem and confidence.
