“When I graduated from high school, I was contemplating which university I should join for my further studies. I eventually chose Curtin Malaysia as it offers a Curtin education and degrees that are recognised globally and the tuition fees are affordable. Hence, my journey as a Foundation in Commerce student began in 2017, and I’m currently in my final year studying Management and Marketing.
“I chose this double-major because it provides wider career opportunities. The course’s assessments taught me to work effectively both individually and in a team, and this helped build my leadership potential. I have to thank all my friends and lecturers for their help and encouragement during the challenging times, especially when I had to juggle my time between studies and sports. Without their support, I wouldn’t be where I am right now.
“I really value all the experiences I’ve had at Curtin Malaysia. Being a bit of an introvert, I had a lot of opportunities to venture out of my comfort zone, make friends of different nationalities and backgrounds, and learn to think from different perspectives.
“2020 was undoubtedly challenging due to Covid-19 when all face-to-face classes were replaced with online classes, but the online facilities and resources Curtin provides its students are excellent and the guidance we got from our lecturers was really helpful.
“Looking back, I have no regrets whatsoever about coming to study at Curtin Malaysia. So long as you keep a positive mindset, every challenge is an open door to learn and grow.” –Dahlia Ling Wen Yi, Management and Marketing student
