“Having graduated from Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT), I proceeded to look for my preferred course at Australian universities locally, hence the choice of Curtin Malaysia which had the course that suited me best. Notwithstanding the fact that Curtin is ranked amongst the top 1% of the world’s universities with globally-recognised qualifications, and offers practical education to ensure its students are career ready upon graduation, that was my main consideration.

“If I were to define my student journey thus far in one word, it would be ‘unprecedented’. We’ve all heard this word being used countless times over the last 2 years in relation to COVID-19, and indeed, what we went through as students was simply unprecedented. From mandatory quarantine and online classes, to innumerable e-assignments and virtual examinations and club events, it was a real roller coaster ride.

“But I must say Curtin handled the crisis efficiently, ensuring we could continue learning effectively without any semester deferment. Despite the difficulties, our lecturers were well-prepared and introduced different teaching techniques. They made the courses more bearable while ensuring all students received the best learning experience. Living in such unprecedented times has helped me cherish the small yet significant aspects in life. The highs. The lows. Everything. Unprecedented… But if Nike can do it, so can we!” –Christina Eh Lee Min, Chemical Engineering student
