Ching Mao Jin

“I began my journey in Curtin Malaysia’s Foundation in Engineering, originally drawn to chemical engineering. But everything changed when I took a programming unit – something completely new to me. That single experience sparked a passion for computing and ultimately led me to switch paths. I’m grateful to the foundation lecturers who made learning so engaging and helped me discover my true calling.

Beyond academics, I’ve been active in student life, serving as a committee member in the Curtin Finance and Investment Club and contributing to the IEEE Student Chapter as a technical helper. These roles helped me build communication, leadership, and project management skills, all of which complement my technical learning.
