“My journey at Curtin Malaysia started in 2017 as a Foundation in Engineering student. I was really hyped up for my first day of uni life. I woke up early and got into the famously advertised, slick black Curtin bus to attend the O-Week sessions for foundation students. The event hall at the Recreation & Event Centre was full of students. There were so many strange and new faces, but that’s where I got to make new friends who are still my classmates to this day.
“The lecturers here at Curtin Malaysia are really friendly and approachable. Innovative teaching is a hallmark of Curtin and many of them have their own unique styles of teaching, making boring subjects easier to swallow.
“When I started my Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering, it was overwhelming at first. There were countless nights struggling with my studies. However, when I looked back now as a third-year student, those times were full of great memories and experiences that have shaped me into who I am today.
“2020 has been an especially challenging year due to COVID-19 and I wish everyone will stay safe and persevere through the hard times. We can get through this together!“ -Chin Vun Kit, Chemical Engineering student
