Cherina Chiew

“My journey here at Curtin Malaysia began about 11 years ago. It has been a fantastic journey overall but there were a few bumps here and there. Pursuing my Master’s degree after completing my Bachelor’s was a real challenge as I had to balance my time between work and study, but I persevered, inspired by the encouragement given by the university management and colleagues who believed in me.

“The biggest moment of my life was when I walked across the graduation platform to receive my award.  It was a well-earned reward for all the hard work and effort I had put into my studies. It taught me that there’s no challenge in life that cannot be overcome. All we need to succeed is passion and determination in all that we do.

“The years of gaining knowledge, valuable life lessons and values imparted by my inspiring lecturers are what made me the successful and professional career woman I am today. We have a lot of amazing people at Curtin Malaysia, and it’s the dedication, integrity and respectfulness of everyone that makes the university special.
