Chan Chi Hong

“I never imagined I would end up studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering. It wasn’t my first choice, but looking back, it’s one of the best journeys I’ve ever taken.
“Along the way, I’ve met inspiring mentors and friends whose guidance has shaped me into a more confident, responsible, and capable person.
“One of the highlights of my university life has been joining the IEM Curtin Malaysia Student Section and IEM Young Engineers Section (YES). Serving as president taught me lessons that no classroom could. From leading a team and organising events to securing sponsorships and building connections with students from universities across Malaysia, every experience challenged me to grow as a leader and communicator.
“I’m especially proud that the IEM Curtin Malaysia Student Section was recognised as one of the outstanding IEM student sections in the country. That achievement reflects the dedication and teamwork of everyone involved.
“As I prepare for my final year, I’m determined to make the most of every opportunity, continue learning, and embrace new challenges. Most of all, I’m grateful to the lecturers, mentors, friends, and teammates who believed in me and supported me every step of the way. Their encouragement has made this journey truly unforgettable.”– Chan Chi Hong, Electrical and Electronic Engineering student
