Associate Professor Fidella Tiew

“I am the founding Dean of the School of Pre-U and Continuing Education (SPACE) at Curtin Malaysia, where I’ve served for 22 years since starting as Head of Student Services in 2003. Moving into academia in 2005 ignited my passion for teaching, and I’ve since held roles from Lecturer to Head of Department before being entrusted with leading SPACE.

Building SPACE has been a career highlight – revamping foundation programmes, introducing new diplomas, and expanding corporate training in line with Sarawak’s Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030. Through initiatives like HRD Corp training and the GETS scheme, we’re helping students and graduates become more future-ready.
