“I studied at Curtin Malaysia from Diploma all the way to my Bachelor’s degree, and looking back, it has been one of the most meaningful journeys of my life.

When I first enrolled, I never imagined I would continue all the way to degree level. My childhood dream was actually to become a nurse. Life had other plans – and honestly, I’m grateful it did!

One of the things I appreciated most about Curtin Malaysia was being able to study close to home in Miri while experiencing an international university environment. Having my family nearby gave me the support and comfort I needed throughout my studies.

I’ve always been shy and introverted, so meeting new people wasn’t easy at first. But Curtin Malaysia’s multicultural community encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone. I made friends from Australia, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, China and many other countries. Those friendships broadened my perspective, strengthened my confidence and taught me to appreciate different cultures.

More than lectures and assignments, Curtin Malaysia taught me to think critically, communicate, work with others and solve problems – skills that continue to shape me today.

I’m proud to be a Curtin graduate. If I could do it all over again, I would choose Curtin without hesitation.”— Amy Liyana binti Santosoh, Business Administration graduate
