“My Curtin Malaysia journey started a bit differently. Juggling a part-time teaching job while studying full-time wasn’t exactly easy. Between student rep work, peer programs, and moving out to live with my sister closer to campus, life’s been a constant hustle.
People ask me, “When do you even have time to play games?” Truth is, I don’t, and I’m okay with that. Staying busy has shaped me into a more mature, driven person.
As a Sarawakian Bumiputera, the BP40 Bursary Scheme made Curtin Malaysia an obvious choice. It lifted my financial worries and opened doors to incredible opportunities, lifelong friendships, and growth on both local and international stages.
Balancing work, study, and fun isn’t always easy, but it’s taught me that fulfillment comes from embracing the chaos, and learning from every stumble along the way.”- Amos Benjamin Strout, Computing (Cybersecurity) student
