“I’m a final-year Psychological Science student at Curtin Malaysia, and my journey here has been nothing short of amazing.

Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to meet incredible friends and lecturers who have made learning so much more meaningful. Studying psychology has opened my eyes to the fascinating ways people think, behave and connect with one another, and how everything is often more interconnected than we realise.

But university life isn’t just about what you study in the classroom. With more than 40 clubs and activities at Curtin, there are so many opportunities to discover new interests, meet different people and step outside your comfort zone.

For me, that meant joining the IEEE Curtin Malaysia Student Branch in my first year. Despite being a psychology student, I’ve always had an interest in engineering, and joining the club gave me a space to explore that side of myself.

I went on to lead the Community Outreach Department for three years, from 2023 to 2025 – an experience that challenged me, helped me grow and showed me that our interests don’t have to fit neatly into one box.
