“Hi, I’m Alexander Jacklya Bin Dakius, a Bachelor of Commerce student majoring in Management and Human Resource Management at Curtin Malaysia.

Growing up with strong family support, I learned early on to be independent and resilient. My time at Curtin Malaysia started with a culture shock – despite being Malaysian, Sarawak was a whole new world. But getting involved in clubs and events helped me break out of my shell.

From performing in the Dance World Concert to joining the ASEAN China-India Youth Leadership Summit in Singapore, I’ve embraced every opportunity. Now, I’m proud to serve as a club president and organisational lead, and making the Dean’s List was a bonus I never expected.
