“Withdrawing from STPM after just one semester was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. I was struggling with the Form 6 syllabus and felt uncertain about my future. Coming from a science stream with no background in commerce, choosing Curtin Malaysia felt like a leap into the unknown. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I adapted better than I expected, consistently achieved Dean’s List, and discovered strengths I never knew I had. None of it would have been possible without the support of my lecturers and classmates, who encouraged me throughout my journey.
Outside the classroom, I pursued my long-time passion for art and design through the Tech Squad of the Orientation Leaders and the Marketing Department of the Curtin Catholic Student Society. Those experiences gave me a place to create, collaborate, and connect with others. They also helped me build confidence, overcome my fear of speaking, and step outside my comfort zone.
In just two years, Curtin Malaysia transformed me in ways I never imagined. It became more than a university; it became a place where I found lifelong friendships, discovered my potential, and truly felt at home.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that university is about more than earning a qualification. It’s about embracing new opportunities, believing in yourself, and making the most of every moment.” – Aldrin Lynsey Anak Albert, Diploma in Commerce graduate
